Jesus said: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (The Gospel, John 8:32)
These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: [2] As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. [3] And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. [4] I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. [5] And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. [6] I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. [7] Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. [8] For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. [9] I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. [10] And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. [11] And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. [12] While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. [13] And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. [14] I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. [15] I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. [16] They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. [17] Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. [18] As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. [19] And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. [20] Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; [21] That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. [22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: [23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. [24] Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. [25] O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. [26] And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them." (The Gospel, John 17:1-26)

Jesus is Seeking You

Whether it is clear to you or not, the Holy Spirit has guided you here to learn more about Jesus and the Gospel. God wants you to be part of His Spiritual Family. We are very happy you are here!
Now that you are here, you may be hesitant to know more about Jesus because you may have been taught he was only a prophet and not the Son of God who died for our sins and rose from the dead. Or maybe you were taught Jesus was a prophet but were told not to trust everything you read about his teachings because they were written down by his companions and may be "corrupt." Or maybe you are hesitant to follow Jesus because that would mean having to question what you currently believe and you are not ready to face those questions.
Whatever you are feeling, it is okay to feel this way. But fear not. Those who have believed and followed the Gospel know it is the recorded Word of God because no one in the history of the world had shown mankind the path to eternal life like Jesus did as recorded in the Gospel. No one in the history of mankind had performed the miracles Jesus performed in the name of God and in front of thousands of eyewitnesses. No one in history had taught people how to overcome hatred, bitterness, fear, loneliness, greed, envy, jealousy, worldly concerns and human desires like Jesus did. Teachings that continue over the centuries to help billions of people find inner-peace and strength through the Love of God.
Those who have “Saved” their souls from eternal damnation by following the Gospel know it leads our souls into the Kingdom of God because when we accept Jesus into our heart we can literally feel our sins being washed away and the love of God transforming our lives forever. This is the real truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You can literally feel the love of God (the Holy Spirit) growing within us purifying our souls.
However, we do not want to "thump" you over the head with the Gospel. We just want you to realize the Gospel contains teachings that are very profound and wise which guide our spirits to grow in wisdom, in truth, and in love. This helps us to feel a lasting peace within ourselves, and with others, as we go through life preparing our souls to stand in the presence of God. Whether you choose to believe Jesus was the Messiah or not, is irrelevant at this point. The Gospel holds many truths for those who wish to live a peaceful life and discover the path to eternal life.
You Are Seeking Jesus
Maybe you are someone who loves God, but still feel something is missing in your life. You go through all the motions of loving God. You pray to God daily asking for His help; you thank and praise Him for the stuff you already have; you attend daily or weekly services praying to God with others who are doing the same. You are doing the things you are "suppose" to do to show your appreciation to God, and yet, you feel an emptiness inside you like something is still missing in your life.
What may be “missing in your life” is the feeling that you are connected with God the same way
you are connected with someone in your family who you love very much. Just as we can feel the spiritual presence of someone's love within us, our soul yearns to feel the spiritual presence of God's Love in our hearts. St. Augustine said, "Our hearts are restless O' Lord, until they rest in You..."
Please understand and believe this: God loves you very, very much! He wants you to feel His love here in this world. God is a Spirit. God’s Love comes to us through His Holy Spirit. Our spirit (or soul) is made in the "image of God". Therefore, we are all spiritually connected to God the same way a parent is spiritually connected to their child—through LOVE!
The connection our souls yearn to have with God is what makes all of us want to be the "Children of God". This was part of Jesus’ message. This is why we long to feel the Love of God within us just as we can feel the love of our parents (and our children) within us. Maybe it is the presence of God’s Love in your heart that is missing in your life...
I am He... |
Jesus said: “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in
spirit and in truth.” [25] The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. [26] Jesus saith unto her, “I that speak unto thee am he.” (The Gospel, John 4:24-26)
Jesus said: “That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:
for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. (The Gospel, Matthew 5:45)
|
| God showed us how to invite His love into our hearts, into our minds, into our souls. You may have been taught how to do this, but you may not have been taught how to do this through Jesus Christ and his Holy Spirit. This is why you are seeking Jesus. The Holy Spirit has guided you here. You are seeking a relationship with God through the Teachings of Jesus; and Jesus is seeking a relationship with you through his Holy Spirit: |
Jesus said: “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. [12] How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? [13] And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. [14] Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.” (The Gospel, Matthew 18:11-14)

Jesus is seeking you. And whether it is clear to you or not, you are seeking Jesus...
Eternal Life - Rising from the Dead
Jesus showed us the path to eternal life. By rising from the dead, Jesus proved we too can conquer death. And if you have any doubts that Jesus rose from the dead, consider this:
When Jesus was being tortured, bloodied and crucified most of his Apostles ran away and hid in fear. Some even denied ever knowing him. They did not want to suffer the same fate that Jesus was suffering as he hung dying on the cross. After Jesus died and was buried his followers felt very alone, afraid, lost. How could they ever continue to spread the Gospel like Jesus had taught them if what happened to him would happen to them?
And yet, the Apostles did continue to spread the Word of God. And many were martyred for doing so. What could have happened that suddenly made the Apostles overcome their fear of suffering a death like Jesus had suffered?
What happened was that the Apostles saw and heard something with their own eyes and ears that made them believe—without any doubt—that Jesus truly was the Messiah; the Anointed One; the Chosen Son of God. What they saw and heard, or rather, who they saw and heard—was Jesus.
Jesus really did rise from the dead. The Apostles feared for their lives after Jesus' death but then suddenly overcame their fear. What else could have made them believe so strongly that they must continue to spread the Gospel knowing full well they would be ridiculed, tortured and put to death like Jesus?
Jesus appeared to the Apostles and his followers, not once, but several times. He walked among them blessing and baptizing them with the Holy Spirit which made them feel like there was a "fire" burning inside them. The intense warmth and tranquility they felt in their hearts and souls gave the Apostles the courage and strength to overcome their fears. The Apostles did what Jesus asked of them after he had risen from the dead because they saw with their own eyes what Jesus had taught them was true. The Gospel really does contain the path to eternal life...
He That Believeth in Me
The Holy Spirit is God’s Love here on earth. This is same love that was in the Holy Spirit of Jesus. When we welcome the Holy Spirit of Jesus into our heart and soul, we are welcoming the love of the Holy Spirit of God into our heart and soul. It is through the Holy Spirit of Jesus that we have eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Asking the Holy Spirit of Jesus to live in our heart and soul is the first step towards our eternal salvation. We ask the Spirit of Jesus to live in our heart and soul when we truly repent for our sins and profess Jesus as the Son of God, and our Lord and Savior. We then promise Jesus we will strive every day to live according to his teachings with the help of his Holy Spirit living in us. Believing in, and following Jesus' teachings, is how we begin our path to eternal salvation in the Kingdom of God: |
Jesus said unto her, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: [26] And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” [27] She saith unto Him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. (The Gospel, John 11:25-27)
Jesus saith unto Him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [7] If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him.” [8] Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. [9] Jesus saith unto him, “Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, ‘Shew us the Father?’ [10] Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” (The Gospel, John 14:6-10)
Jesus said, “Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all
these things be done. [31] Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.” (The Gospel, Mark 13:30-33)

Muslims "Hesitant" about Seeking Jesus
If you are a Muslim who does not know Jesus, or was told not to believe in the teachings that Jesus brought us through the Holy Spirit, you owe it to yourself (and to your soul) to discover the Truth for yourself. Maybe you are not ready to do this today. Maybe you have too many doubts about who Jesus was and why he came into this world. Maybe you are fearful of what fellow Muslims will say if they knew you wanted to know more about Jesus and were thinking about asking him into your life so you could better understand the Gospel.
We understand the fear and hesitation you may have. But fear not, even Muhammad recognized the Divine Teachings of Jesus and the prophets before him: |
The Qur’an: We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession
of apostles; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you an apostle with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride? Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay! (Surah 2:87, The Cow)
The Qur’an: Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.' 111. "And behold! I inspired the disciples to have faith in Me and Mine Messenger. they said, 'We have faith, and do thou bear witness that we bow to Allah as Muslims'". (Surah 5:110-111, The Table, The Table Spread)
|
| Muhammad had great respect for Jesus and knew about the Gospel. However, even though Muhammad believed Jesus was a prophet sent by Allah (God) he did not believe Jesus was the Son of God. Nor did Muhammad teach that any of us are the children of God: |
The Qur’an: “O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor
say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a
spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and
on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.” (Surah 4:171, Women)
|
| There was turmoil and confusion among the leaders and followers of Christianity during the time of Muhammad. Muhammad felt if Jesus was the Son of God then people would have accepted his Teachings and there would have been righteousness and peace in the generations to come: |
The Qur’an: Those apostles We endowed with gifts, some above others:
To one of them Allah spoke; others He raised to degrees (of honour); to Jesus the son of Mary We gave clear (Signs), and strengthened him with the holy spirit. If Allah had so willed, succeeding generations would not have fought among each other, after clear (Signs) had come to them, but they (chose) to wrangle, some believing and others rejecting. If Allah had so willed, they would not have fought each other; but Allah Fulfilleth His plan.” (Surah 2:253, The Cow)
|
| Because of the turmoil that ensued among those who either challenged the Gospel, or strayed from the Gospel, Muhammad believed God chose him to bring new teachings to the people that would update or "perfect" previous teachings. However, it is important to keep in mind that Jesus predicted the Gospel would not be accepted by all people and turmoil would ensue “for my name’s sake”: |
Jesus said: “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows. [9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. [10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. [11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. [12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. [13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. [14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (The Gospel, Matthew 24:7-14)
|
| People wanted to cling to their sinful ways because they did not fully understand the inner-peace, wisdom and purification of our souls that comes from living by the Gospel. The demons in people’s hearts and minds created chaos, confusion and hate against the Gospel because they did not want people’s souls to find salvation. Satan wants people’s souls for himself. The demons of “confusion”, “ignorance”, “fear”, and “hate”, are very powerful: |
Jesus said: “Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. [13] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (The Gospel, Mark 13:12-13)
|
It is important to keep in mind that even though people chose to resist the Gospel, this did not
change the wisdom of God’s Teachings in the Gospel. People chose to stop following God’s Authority which caused them to remain, or stray into evil behavior (sin). The Gospel contains all the knowledge, wisdom and spirituality needed to show people the path to eternal life but it was the free-will that God gives to all of us that made some people choose not to follow this path. This path is as true today, as it was then.
Are You Ready for Eternal Life?
Despite all of the miracles and teachings revealed to them, Jesus was betrayed and rejected by many of his own people. They could not accept that Jesus was the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God chosen to show us the path to eternal life. They thought his words became blasphemous when he claimed to be the Son of God. They were too ignorant to realize what Jesus taught really does purify and transform our hearts and souls. They were not willing to just try and live by the Gospel. If they had, they would have understood how truly special Jesus was and how his teachings really do lead us to the path of eternal life.
The Jews and Gentiles who did believe Jesus was the Messiah went into the world and spread the Gospel to all nations. Some believing so deeply in the Teachings brought to us through Jesus by the Holy Spirit that they went to their deaths proclaiming the "The New Testament of Jesus Christ."
We all have free-will to believe what we want to believe about the Gospel and Jesus. All the evidence of how special Jesus was and how his Teachings truly reveal the path to eternal life are found in the Gospel. All we have to do is read it, then live it, so we can feel it transform our lives. Only then will we fully understand how the Gospel purifies our hearts and souls making us worthy to stand in the presence of God one day.
No one in the history of the world had ever shown us the path to eternal life like Jesus did. This is why Jesus was the Christ, the Chosen Son of God.
We all have to discover for ourselves why Jesus claimed to be the Son of God so we too can understand how we can become the "Children of God". We all have to discover if the Teachings brought to us by the Holy Spirit through Jesus truly lead us to eternal life. We should all be very interested in knowing the truth about these Teachings. Our very souls depend on them.
Are you Ready to Follow Jesus?
If you are ready to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior; if you are ready to ask the Holy Spirit to dwell in you so your Love for God will grow and you will have the power to resist sin; if you want to become a child of God and be part of His Holy Family, then please take a minute to quiet your mind, and soul, so you can say a little prayer. Remember, Jesus said, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (The Gospel, John 14:13)
Please turn off all the noise around you. Turn off your television, your radio, all music and sounds you can hear. Make it as quiet as possible. Then take a deep breathe in, then exhale slowly. Do this several times. When your mind and soul are at rest, please say the following prayer out loud: |
"O God... I am a sinner. I'm sorry for my sins. I want to turn away from sin, but I need Jesus and the Holy Spirit to help me. Jesus, from this moment on, I accept you as my Lord and Savior. I want to follow you and serve God in the fellowship of your church. I want to receive your Holy Spirit so my love for God will grow. Being filled with God's Love instead of sin, is how I will purify my soul. I ask these things in your name, Jesus the Christ. Amen."
|
If you sincerely believe with all your heart that Jesus is the Son of God, and if you sincerely want to receive the Holy Spirit and live your life according to the Gospel, then you should feel a change within you. That change is Jesus and the Love of God being welcomed by your soul.
Be happy. You have just begun a new walk with Christ, a new journey to eternal Salvation. Talk with Jesus throughout your day and every day asking him for guidance and wisdom through the Gospel. Jesus is our Lord and Savior, but he is also our friend. Tell him about your concerns and worries and ask him to help you overcome your fears. Share your joys and achievements with him, as well as your failures and disappointments. Jesus wants you to know his presence in both.
If we truly live by the Gospel (see, "Teachings of Jesus"), we will feel the presence of God (the Holy Spirit) grow within us. When we need the strength to resist the temptation of sin, we can ask the Holy Spirit to help us. When we stumble in our walk with Christ and sin again, we can ask Jesus to forgive us. We should say a “sinner’s prayer” as often as we need so our love for God will grow, day by day, until we have no desire to sin again.
Remember, the Spirit of God wants to live within us so we can free our souls of the demons of pride, greed, envy, anger, lust, self-indulgence and laziness that lead us to sin. As we free ourselves of these demons we will feel the Love of God (the Holy Spirit) grow within us transforming our spirits to a level of inner-peace, strength and enlightenment about God, ourselves and the world that we never knew was possible.
Welcome to God's Spiritual Family
We hope and pray that your spirit will continue to grow and mature in your new relationship with God. When we become filled with the Love of God our souls become purified and we no longer have a desire to sin. Our only desire is to fellowship with God and know Him better. This is how we can be sure we have found the path to eternal life.
